Alive & Well Collective

We believe wellness is for Every Body. We create a welcoming space where everyone discovers the joy of wellness through Yoga, fitness training, aqua wellness, mindful eating, meditation, music, art and dance. Our mission is to meet all individuals where they are in their wellness journey. Sessions are available privately, in small or large groups.

Hi I’m Ali, the founder of Alive & Well Collective. I am mom to Liam & Brennen, cat enthusiast, dog lover and animal rescuer. I graduated with a BS in Science and Special Education and holds a Wilson Reading certification. I left the classroom in 2023, and decided to take a leap of faith and make wellness my full time career. I have been in the fitness industry since I was in my 20’s. I began my fitness career as a bootcamp instructor. When I became pregnant with her first son Liam, I began taking Yoga classes and something sparked inside of me. After Liam was born I obtained my first 200 hr certification, ten years later I went back for another 200 hrs. With Liam in mind, I went for my first children’s certification. After my son Brennen, I obtained a second children’s certification from Karma Kids Yoga in NYC. I began teaching a variety of children’s classes in preschools and in after school programs. I began classroom teaching children with disabilities in 2007 while I was pregnant with my second son Brennen. I would incorporate Yoga and breathing techniques to my students before tests, or when I noticed they were off task. My special education background combined with my passion for wellness and the mind body connection has allowed me to watch all individuals discover their inner strength, build confidence and experience the joy of movement that honors their unique abilities.

As a lover of learning, I have obtained over 500 hrs of Yoga trainings including Integrative Yoga for individuals with limited mobility from Duke Integrative Medicine, Yin Yoga, Restorative, and Mindfulness Education. She is trained in Barre, Cycle, and a Personal Trainer. I have over 15 years of adaptive aqua wellness programs. I wish everyone knew how beneficial the water can be to the mind and body. I teach aqua classes throughout Monmouth and Ocean County. My students find their calm when we are working in the water.

I am currently enrolled and working on my Trauma Informed Yoga training with the Prison Yoga Project, and the Functional Nutrition Program with Mind, Body, Green.
